This week Dr. Tobin begins an exporation of some of the works Frederic Chopin created while in Paris. Tobin is interested in how Paris might have influened Chopin and in particular to how Chopin created a unique language for the piano.
This week Dr. Tobin explores this humorous Book II Prelude, inspired by the American Clown Ed La Vine and his performance at the Marigny Theatre on the Avenue Champs Elysees!
Awhile ago Dr. Tobin interviewed the world Debussy experts at a Debussy convnetion at UT Austin and put together a documentary filim. It was shot on the fly, without control of sound, image, and some conctent, but it honor the work of Claude Debussy.
